COER is a brand name among different engineering colleges in Roorkee because of many reasons:-

- Because the faculty means all the faculty at the COER not less than a doctorate degree holder along they have plenty of industrial exposure.

COER i.e. College of Engineering Roorkee was established in the year 1998 by Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust. It having more than 75 acres of pollution-free green surroundings and situated on NH-58, just 7 km far away from the Roorkee city.
Moreover, it is about 180km towards north from the capital of India i.e. Delhi.
